This role is ideal for an accomplished technical environmental leader who has built a strong reputation delivering contaminated sites, remediation and brownfield redevelopment projects and has naturally progressed into leadership and business development.

This is far more than a traditional office leadership role. The successful individual will lead an established team while helping shape the future of the firm's environmental business across Canada.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to do what very few environmental consulting leadership roles genuinely offer: build something.

Rather than stepping into a mature practice with limited room for progression, you'll take ownership of an established Calgary team while helping drive the next phase of environmental growth across Canada.

With significant investment being made into the Canadian market, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Influence the future direction of the environmental business across Canada.
  • Build and grow a high-performing environmental practice.
  • Recruit and develop exceptional environmental professionals.
  • Strengthen key client relationships while expanding into new markets.
  • Become a trusted senior leader with genuine influence over the firm's long-term success.

For someone with ambition, vision and an entrepreneurial mindset, this isn't simply the next leadership position, it's an opportunity to build a lasting legacy within one of the industry's most respected consulting businesses.

Key Responsibilities

As Environmental Practice Leader, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership across complex contaminated sites, remediation and brownfield redevelopment projects.
  • Lead, mentor and develop an established environmental team.
  • Drive business development by strengthening existing client relationships and winning new work.
  • Manage project delivery, quality, profitability and overall practice performance.
  • Recruit and develop future environmental leaders.Play a key role in executing the firm's long-term Canadian growth strategy.
What We're Looking For

We're looking to speak with environmental consulting professionals who possess:

  • 15+ years of environmental consulting experience.
  • A strong technical background in contaminated sites, remediation and brownfield redevelopment.
  • Experience supporting land development projects through environmental investigation, remediation and regulatory closure (preferred)
  • A proven track record as a seller-doer, with the ability to build trusted client relationships and generate new business.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing technical teams.
  • An established professional network within the Alberta environmental consulting market.
  • P.Eng. registration preferred (or equivalent senior environmental consulting credentials).
