Job summary

Mackenzie Health in Vaughan is seeking an Environmental Associate to maintain a sanitary and safe hospital environment. You will perform cleaning tasks including mopping, wall washing, drapes, furniture movement and vacuuming while following safety policies.

The role requires Grade 10 education, English communication skills, reliable attendance and a patient-centered, team-oriented approach within a fast-paced health care setting.

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 education or equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Able to perform manual cleaning tasks (mopping, buffing, wall washing, vacuuming, etc.).
  • Proven attendance record.

This position performs duties necessary to maintain a sanitary and safe environment for all clients/patients, staff and visitors of the hospital.

What must you have?
  • Completion of Grade 10 education or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to follow oral and written instructions and to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to perform such manual tasks as mopping and buffing floors, wall washing, changing cubicle and window drapes, moving furniture, vacuuming, cleaning, and polishing.
  • Proven attendance record.
