Job summary

ABB in Québec is seeking a motivated EHS Coordinator to support our Environment, Health, and Safety programs. You will help implement the EHS program, conduct facility inspections, and promote safe practices across production and administrative areas.

This role requires bilingual French and English communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. On-site with occasional work-from-home days, you will report to the EHS Manager.

Qualifications

• Completion of 2 years in a university program in health and safety, industrial relations, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or completion of 2 years in a technical program related to the field.
• Excellent command of French and English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Acts as support in EHS matters and EHS support activities.
• Conducts regular facility inspections to identify hazards and risks and prevent injuries or EHS impacts.
• Compiles and reports health and safety data for corporate reporting.
• Assists the organization in managing chemical products and supports ergonomic-related issues.
• Collaborates with managers, supervisors, and staff to identify and implement corrective measures after unsafe behaviors are identified.
• Develops and distributes communications on EHS-related topics.
