Job summary

Triumph Group of Companies is seeking a Building Surveyor to lead detailed condition surveys of building exteriors across the GTA, using 3D laser scanning, BIM and CAD tools to generate clear drawings, reports, and remediation recommendations for project managers, engineers and clients.

You will split time between data processing in the office and hands-on surveys at height on active sites, collaborating with PMs, engineers and site teams, and ensuring survey findings guide scoping and pricing.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of building surveying experience, focus on cladding systems.
• Hands-on experience operating 3D laser scanning equipment and processing point cloud data.
• Proficiency in BIM and CAD software to convert scan data into drawings and reports.
• Valid drone pilot certification for aerial inspections.
• Building or cladding surveying certification with knowledge of Ontario Building Code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed condition surveys of building exteriors and cladding using 3D laser scanning and other surveying processes.
• Process and analyze point data to identify water infiltration, wear, and deficiencies.
• Convert scan data and field measurements into drawings, models, and reports using BIM and CAD.
• Prepare clear survey reports and remediation recommendations for project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Coordinate site access, safety plans, and scheduling for surveys across the GTA.
