Stantec in Markham, ON, is seeking an entry-level Survey Technician/Assistant in the Geospatial Group. You will support surveying tasks using GNSS, levels, and 3D laser scanners, contributing to field data collection and site layout.

Join a team delivering master-planned developments and infrastructure projects, while gaining hands-on experience in field notes, data downloads, and equipment maintenance in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveying tasks using GNSS survey instruments, digital levels, 3D laser scanners, and conventional survey equipment.
• Assist the Survey Party Chief with tasks related to surveying and construction layout.
• Assisting in the preparation of field notes/sketches and completing field data downloads and uploads.
• Maintaining field equipment and vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with members of the team and follow standard procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining field equipment and vehicles.
• Responsible for safe operation of tools and equipment, complying with OHSA and Stantec’s HSSE policies.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
