William Day Construction Limited. is seeking a Site Senior Surveyor for projects in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

You will lead topographic surveys, layouts, grading, and as-builts, while coordinating with CAD and project teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance with specifications. Ideal candidates have 5+ years field experience, strong leadership on site, proficiency with GNSS, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and BIM 360, and a solid track record of precise data management and problem

• Ability to set priorities, timelines, and manage workloads independently or in a team.

• Class G License with clean abstract.

Experience

• 5 plus years field experience.
• Must be a leader on the job site/willing to take on supervisor training and duties.
• Knowledge of advanced surveying practice's
• Experience with GNSS and Heavy equipment GNSS surveying systems.
• Understands payment items and requirements

For a senior surveyor position with William Day Construction applicants will be required to prove competency in the following criteria as judge by our Survey department leads and project management.

Practical & Surveying

• Complete stockpile survey and calculate the volume in Civil 3D.
• Complete As built survey and put into create as built style pdf drawing.
• Open dwg drawings (Civil 3D) and be able to output .xml/.dxf design files into the field book.
• Read drawings (PDF) with the ability to create design in the field book. Or get the coordinates/offsets from paper.
• Capable of establishing control on site. (local or UTM)

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient with TBC (Trimble Business Center)
