Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer for our GTA West Group to support and supervise geotechnical investigations and contribute to infrastructure projects across Ontario. You will work with engineers to deliver high‑quality technical work and gain hands‑on experience across project types.

You will assist in bearing capacity, settlement and slope stability analyses, support field investigations, and contribute to engineering reports while promoting a safety‑first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s considered an asset).
• 1–3 years of relevant post‑degree experience in geotechnical consulting.
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO.
• Sense of initiative, attention to detail, and team spirit.
• Strong technical writing skills and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise geotechnical investigations including test pitting, borehole drilling, and in‑situ testing.
• Support coordination of geotechnical investigation and laboratory testing.
• Complete geotechnical analyses such as bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability under guidance.
• Provide technical support on geotechnical projects including field investigations and lab results interpretation.
• Assist senior team members in preparing geotechnical studies, proposals, and reports for low to medium complexity projects.
• Participate in and promote a safety‑first culture.
