Job summary

Canada’s Wonderland is seeking a stage technician to join our team. You’ll help deliver high-quality shows by maintaining tracks, troubleshooting equipment, and rotating duties as needed, while upholding safety and park standards.

You’ll work in a unionized setting with IATSE, with shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. Perks include free park access, merchandise discounts, and a supportive, diverse team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communications skills are required.
• Ability to work in a hands-on environment, able to multi-task and work efficiently in all types of weather conditions.
• Dependable and able to work in a guest-oriented environment.
• Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain show standards by keeping tracks at the directed performance quality.
• Troubleshoot technical problems to maintain show quality as directed by Supervisors and Management.
• Learn additional duties or tracks to facilitate rotation.
• Maintain all technical elements as set during rehearsal.
• Care for assigned equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Perform daily safety checks and report damages or malfunctions.
• Maintain positive rapport with guests and associates in the Park.
• Ensure safety standards are met.
• Carry out duties as assigned, including cleaning backstage areas and maintaining equipment.
• Promote unity within the department.

This is a unionized position and earnings will be subject to applicable union dues. Employment will be governed pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement between the Company and IATSE. In the event of any conflict between this Offer of Employment and the collective bargaining agreement, the collective bargaining agreement will govern.

• Maintain the show’s standards at the highest level by keeping assigned “tracks” at the performance quality at which the show was first directed
• Troubleshoot technical problems to maintain show quality at the discretion of Supervisors and Management
