This early‑career role develops deep Enterprise SCADA expertise under mentorship.

Hybrid Calgary office with travel to client sites; foundational SCADA/IIoT, HMI development, and data integration experience required.

Qualifications

• Prior exposure to AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (OASyS), Ignition, or another enterprise SCADA platform through work experience, internship, co‑op, or self‑directed study.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience with SCADA, IIoT, industrial control systems, or closely related technical work (internship and co‑op experience considered).
• Foundational understanding of SCADA architectures, HMI concepts, and industrial data flows from PLCs and RTUs into SCADA environments.
• Awareness of industrial communications and protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and MQTT.
• Working proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, C#, VB, or Java).
• Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) — basic queries and schema navigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to document configurations clearly and present findings to internal and client audiences.
• Willingness to travel to client control centres and pipeline facilities across western Canada, and to work at active industrial sites.
• Self‑starter with a demonstrated ability to learn new SCADA platforms, programming languages, and technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise SCADA Configuration and Development: Support the configuration and testing of Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS) systems for client projects under the direction of Senior Specialists.
• Assist in the development of displays, dashboards, and HMI graphics within Enterprise SCADA, following client style guides and modern HMI design principles.
• Contribute to point database configuration, tag mapping, alarm configuration, and historical data setup for client SCADA environments.
• Participate in system testing, defect tracking, and issue resolution during FAT, SAT, and go-live activities.
