Job summary

The City of Toronto Technology Services is seeking an Enterprise Technical Support Specialist to maintain network infrastructure, perform monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades and security reviews at 703 Don Mills Rd, Toronto.

This full-time role, based in Toronto, offers a 35-hour work week, collaboration in a cross-functional team, exposure to enterprise Cisco environments and meaningful city-wide IT projects that keep public services connected.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Network Engineering, Data Communication or CS or equivalent.
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications required.
Experience with Cisco, Meraki and TCP/IP networks preferred.

Responsibilities

Review enterprise software, hardware and transmission systems with diagnostic tools.
Assist with installation, operation and maintenance of enterprise systems.
Plan and design network upgrades and new technologies implementations.
Research hardware and software solutions for enterprise networks.
Maintain security access across enterprise servers, software and network systems.
Manage user accounts according to standards and procedures.
Respond to technical support requests and develop action plans.
Review and update technical manuals, standards and documentation.
