Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies or related field; if enrolled, complete within 3 years of hire.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and excellent documentation.
• Knowledge and experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation for various resident needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with geriatric populations and cognitive impairment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate individual and group activation programs based on assessed needs.
• Set up and clean activity areas; transport residents to programs; monitor behavior and report changes.
• Maintain program and resident records; communicate participation to registered staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs.
