Job summary

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking an Activity Aide to enrich residents' lives at Warkworth Place in Warkworth, Ontario. The role supports daily activity programming, escorts residents to activities, and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure well-being.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in recreation-related fields or be enrolled, strong communication, and experience in program planning and geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience in one‑to‑one/group program planning and evaluation.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate activation programs for individuals and groups.
• Set up and transport residents to programs; monitor behavior and condition; report changes.
• Maintain program and resident records per policy; communicate participation to staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs.
