Key Roles
This position is responsible for providing site data management and advanced technical support to plant personnel and vendor agents seeking plant records. It also manages the plant’s electronic and hard copy databases, including the production and revision of engineering drawings, maps, and documents using drafting and database management software tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical support for software applications and specialized hardware used within the Document Center.
- Procures supplies and equipment to support drafting and data management for the site’s Record Center.
- Offers technical expertise in manual and computerized drafting to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensures the integrity and quality of permanent files, records, maps, engineering documents, and drawings of all site assets.
- Creates and revises drawings, maps, and drafting documents using a computerized drafting system, including scanning and modifying drawings.
- Develops preliminary drawings based on standards and project requirements for review by engineers.
- Manages and oversees the plant’s engineering drawings and documentation from in-house teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Generates information supporting site modifications and additions used by in-house teams or contractors.
- Maintains all data and files related to project design drawings.
- Researches, evaluates, and implements new technologies to improve drawing management, as-builts, and database management.
- Administers, updates, and manages the site’s software applications.
- Provides training on database use and drawing management.
- Performs database administration tasks such as cloning, backup, and recovery of engineering drawings.
- Creates and maintains data and files associated with documents from capital improvement projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
Education and Certifications / Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- At least five (5) years of related experience.
Skills & Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Visual Basic or other programming languages, networking, and PC hardware.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of power plant construction methods and procedures.
- Experience with Agile, PeopleSoft, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and understanding of how Agile integrates with PeopleSoft.
- Database administration skills including cloning, backup, and recovery.

Working Conditions
- Standard office environment with occasional fieldwork, including climbing and walking on uneven terrain.
- Occasional lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.
- Frequent travel within the system and occasional out-of-state travel, which may require overnight stays.
