Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Engineering Supervisor (ES) position within the Energy Solutions Department. This role will primarily support the electrical design of utility-scale solar projects and lead a subset of the Solar Team’s employees. The Engineering Supervisor will foster leadership development, support project execution, and report directly to the Technical Manager, collaborating with other corporate units such as sales, marketing, account management, and project management. The ideal candidate is a self-starting technical leader with expertise in technical design, personnel management, communication, and resource management. This position exemplifies Ulteig’s commitment to professional and leadership development.

What You’ll Do

Senior Technical Resource - 60%

• Manage and lead engineering activities during proposal and design stages, supporting and supervising team members.
• Oversee project scope, develop change orders, and maintain schedules.
• Ensure high quality and responsiveness to meet client requirements.
• Review project deliverables and assume responsible charge as needed.
• Develop tools to improve technical efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
• Support professional development initiatives.

Management Responsibilities – 30%

• Provide strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for team performance.
• Coach, train, and develop engineering staff.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and conduct performance reviews.
• Support hiring and business growth efforts.
• Assist in resource planning and budgeting.

Business Development Responsibilities – 10%

• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to promote growth.
• Support proposal development and maintain client relationships.

What We Expect from You

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.
• 6+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Analytical, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and information management skills.
• Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; additional software skills depending on specialty.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Additional Details

Target Base Salary: $111,800 - $151,300 CAD. Salary factors include skills, education, experience, location, and market comparison.
