Job summary

PCL Construction is seeking Mechanical and Materials Engineering Students for our Canadian Industrial Division at the Fabrication Facility in Nisku, AB. This 8-month role starts in January 2027 and is supervised by a Project Manager.

Candidates should be pursuing an engineering degree with a mechanical or materials focus and have an interest in construction environments. Responsibilities include planning, reviewing drawings, coordinating trades, takingoffs, attending meetings, and producing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical or materials major.
• Strong interest in construction; field experience is a plus.
• Familiar with common office software and drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning and scheduling for assigned tasks.
• Review drawings and coordinate work scope with trades.
• Verify quantities, hours and rates; input data into logs.
• Participate in project meetings and document progress.
• Produce as-built drawings and support safety inspections.
