Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking an Engineering Student for the Toronto District and Trenton sites, for a 4 or 8 month term starting in September 2026.

You will support coordination of drawings, field work, and takeoffs under supervision on construction projects. Applicants should have an interest in construction and basic drafting, with software familiarity for common office tasks.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drawings, work specific scope / trades, trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates, deficiency walks etc
• Participating in project meetings
• Inputting / Updating deficiency logs and issuing warranties
• Taking / Coordinating progress photos, and updating field drawings
• Producing as-built drawings
• Performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating and supervising sub-trade work and
• Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
• Layout site lines and grades using total station
• Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades and updating project schedules

We are seeking an Engineering Student, for our Toronto District, working in Trenton, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 or 8 months starting in September 2026.

As an Engineering Student you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Next Step:

The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.33, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
