Job summary

Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation in Thunder Bay seeks a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver engineering and infrastructure projects for First Nations communities. You will oversee projects from planning through close-out, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence while aligning with OFNTSC values.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical engineering background, Ontario P.Eng.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario, is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering and project management experience, involving municipal, water/wastewater or community infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of assigned engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
  • Develop work plans, schedules, cost estimates, cash flow projections, and resource requirements for review.
  • Monitor budgets, expenditures, schedules, and deliverables; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare project reports, technical summaries, and funding reports for senior leadership and clients.
  • Review drawings, reports, specifications, and deliverables for quality and compliance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ethical practice, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering
