Job summary

AtkinsRéalis invites driven graduates to join its Canada-wide nuclear engineering team as Engineering New Graduate. You will assist in areas like New Nuclear, Site Engineering, and R&D while under the guidance of senior engineers to gain practical, hands-on experience.

We welcome candidates nearing graduation in engineering (May 2026–May 2027) with strong technical writing and teamwork skills. A hybrid work model and professional development opportunities are offered in Canada.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Honors degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• Strong technical communication skills are preferred.
• Interest in nuclear engineering and related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in areas such as New Nuclear, Site Engineering, Research and Development.
• Perform engineering tasks under supervision to build knowledge.
• Develop expertise in at least one core engineering discipline.
• Manage multiple assignments with good planning and time management.

Your Role

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Assist in one or more areas such as:
  • New Nuclear
  • Operating Nuclear Plant Support
  • Nuclear Refurbishment
  • Site Engineering
  • Research & Development
• Perform engineering tasks under the guidance of senior engineers to build technical knowledge and practical experience.
• Occasionally review the work of support staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Begin developing expertise in at least one core engineering discipline.
• Manage multiple assignments using strong planning and time management skills.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution and innovation

About You

You are working towards completion of a relevant Honors degree in Engineering from a university of recognized standing with an expected graduation date between May 2026 - May 2027

• Post-graduate degree(s) will also be considered.
• Must have superior technical written skills and the ability to effectively interface with staff, project management and customers.
• Statistical knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to understand and consistently meet deadlines under pressure.
• Effective problem solver with a results-oriented approach and ability.
• Strong planning and organization skills, as applied to self-managing multiple, simultaneous work assignments.
• Ability to network, build relationships, and plan, with an orientation toward service, teamwork and collaboration.
