Job summary

Sixone seeks an Engineering Lead in Canada to rapidly transition our recycling technology from R&D to industrial-scale deployment. You will lead a team of engineers, oversee tech transfer, and manage commissioning and early production while shaping project roadmaps and performance targets.

You will mentor engineers, align R&D with operations, ensure safety and quality, and drive cross‑functional collaboration with external partners and vendors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience in Petrochemical, Chemical, Plastics, Recycling, or Carbon Capture.
• 5+ years of direct people management experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC or eligible for EGBC.
• Cross‑disciplinary expertise across mechanical, chemical, and process engineering.
• Willing to travel cross-border to the USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead process scale-up and tech transfer to industrial-scale equipment.
• Direct commissioning, initial production campaigns, and training.
• Oversee equipment design, PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, and data sheets.
• Mentor engineers and manage project schedules and budgets.
