Job summary

Lake Shore Gold, a Pan American Silver subsidiary, seeks an Engineering Graduate / Engineer in Training to join Bell Creek and Timmins West Mines in Timmins, ON. The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule and 8-hr days or 10-hr days on a 4-on/3-off cycle.

Salary ranges from CAD 85,000 to 95,000 annually. Relocation to the Timmins area is required; camp-based positions are not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited university.
• Seeking P.Eng license with PEO when eligible.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles for ore body evaluation and underground mine operations.
• Proficiency in mine planning software (Deswik.CAD and Deswik.Sched).
• The applicant must be eligible to work in Canada.

About the Organization

Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, Ontario, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. Ore is then transported to surface via a modern one thousand eighty metre deep shaft capable of forty-eight hundred tonnes per day.

The milling facility is a conventional free milling gold circuit consisting of crushing, SAG milling, leaching, CIL and CIP, stripping and refining. The mill currently processes up to 232 tonnes per hour from two separate mines and disposes of its tailings via conventional end of pipe discharge. (used only for Mill postings)

About the Opportunity

We are looking to hire Engineering Graduate / Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON., and Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON., on a full-time basis.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day.

Compensation: This position offers a salary range of $85,000 - $95,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Vacancy Status: This is an existing vacancy. The successful candidate may begin as soon as possible.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.
