The Toronto office is looking for an Engineering Designer to join their Mechanical team in a full-time permanent basis in their Toronto office.

Duties:

  • Design of building mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
  • Preparation and coordination of approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents, reports and technical memoranda.
  • Condition assessment of existing equipment. Demolition and sequence of construction planning.
  • Ventilation, cooling/heating load analysis and piping/duct design.
  • Air emissions and acoustics.
  • Preparation of AutoCAD design drawings, Revit models and specifications as required.
  • Participation in contract administration services and inspections of HVAC and plumbing installations where required.
  • Other duties as required where appropriate for the position.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • 0 to 4 years of progressive experience.
  • A strong interest in building services is a requirement (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Experience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development and other skills appropriate to consulting.
  • Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
