Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks in Stratford, Ontario is seeking an engineering professional to design and detail boiler/burner components. You will prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor, interfacing with internal teams and external customers to resolve technical issues and ensure proper specifications.

Required is a technical degree or certificate with 2–5 years of related experience and good interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years Degree/certificate in Technical Field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years to less than 5 years of experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and use computer design systems; experience in AutoCAD and Inventor is a must.
• Prepare detailed drawings including technical layout, multiple views, detail and assembly drawings.
• Interface with internal staff, customers and vendors on technical issues.
• Apply engineering calculations and standards to designs and layouts.
• Assist with ASME standards and product knowledge as applicable.

Salary Range

$65,000-$75,000 CAD per year

Essential Duties

• Understands and uses computer design system, experience in AutoCAD and Inventor is a must.
• Prepares detailed drawings, which include technical layout, multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and effectively interface with others inside and outside the Company is required.
• Interfaces with internal staff as well as customers and vendors regarding technical issues pertaining to parts, design, usage, specifications, etc.
• Understands and utilizes mathematical formulas and calculations related to Engineering.
• Experience in ASME standard and IFS is an asset, but not required.
• Relevant product knowledge is an asset, but not required.
• Processing knowledge is an asset.
