Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking an Engineering Controller to support EPCM projects across six QC locations, including Montreal and Quebec City. You will supervise project control activities, monitor cost and schedule performance, and ensure alignment with the scope and risks.

Strong English and French skills are essential. Responsibilities include developing execution plans, delivering analyses, and maintaining ongoing communication with project managers, teams, and clients.

Qualifications

• 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in project control.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex analyses and reporting.
• Bilingual communication abilities in English and French.
• Experience with project lifecycle management and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with supervision and control and assess project progress using reliable performance indicators.
• Produce project control deliverables and supervise schedule, budget, scope, change orders, risks, and resources.
• Develop and update project execution plans and procedures.
• Produce analyses and reports and present them regularly to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain regular contact with project managers, teams, and clients.

• Produce project control deliverables, and supervise all activities related to the schedule, the budget and costs, the scope of work, change orders, risks, trends, resource planning, variances, billing, and more


• Produce or ensure that project execution plans and procedures are developed and updated


• Produce or supervise the development of required analyses and reports and present them regularly


• Stay in regular contact with project managers, project teams and clients

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• College diploma or university degree


• From 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in project control


• Any combination of college or university and relevant experience


• Worked on all phases of a project lifecycle


• Able to analyze problems and have advanced knowledge of Excel


• Practical knowledge of Primavera P6


• Practical knowledge of project control software


• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects


• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec


• Good writing abilities in both English and French


• Asset: practical knowledge of the modules in the Prism G2 Suite
