Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking an Engineering Applications Administrator to manage engineering tools, permissions and licenses for Schematic Capture, layout tools, and software/version control systems in a hands-on onsite role.

You will maintain Linux/Windows virtual environments, coordinate licenses and support, and work with vendors to ensure tool availability and performance for C5ISR projects.

Qualifications

• College or post-secondary degree in Engineering, IT or CS preferred.
• 4+ years related work experience.
• Experience managing user permissions across multiple tools.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Knowledge of Siemens EDA flow, Atlassian and Windchill tools.
• Understanding of standard Software Configuration Management practices.
• Scripting and release experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of web-based tools using Java and Apache Tomcat is an asset.
• Knowledge of Siemens DxDesigner/Expedition and Creo/Windchill is an asset.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Upgrading and maintaining Siemens EDA, Atlassian and PTC tools DxDesigner, Expedition, Hyperlynx.
• Managing Atlassian Jira, BitBucket and Confluence usage.
• Maintaining Creo and Windchill environments.
• Debugging engineering tool issues and escalating to vendor as needed.
• Administering access-controlled tools (permissions, installations, support).
• Coordinating temporary licenses and annual renewals with vendors.
• Managing the Engineering Shared Services Tools budget for licenses and maintenance.
• Administering Linux and Windows virtual environments for Engineering with IT.
