Position Purpose

The Engineering Analyst uses continuous improvement and analytical methods to understand, model, and improve supply chain productivity.


Analysts are responsible for:
  1. Measuring / analyzing current and proposed process metrics
  2. Identifying inefficiencies within the supply chain
  3. Partnering with key stakeholders to brainstorm and implement solutions

This position requires a self-starter, detail-oriented individual able to support multiple projects and/or business functions, possesses excellent communication skills, works well with a team, interacts with multiple levels and functions within the supply chain organization, and is able to manage relationships.


Position Responsibilities:
  1. Using Lean/Six Sigma principles to identify savings opportunities within the supply chain
  2. Use analytical methods to model/quantify current and future state performance and costs
  3. Facilitate discussions with key business stakeholders (i.e. Operations, IT) to generate solution ideas and provide status updates and reporting
  4. Develop and manage action plans associated with improvement initiatives
  5. Create cost-benefit analyses to justify the purchase of assets and equipment
  6. Identify and communicate process opportunities through the creation of process/value stream maps
  7. Collection of data to support analyses, either systemically or by observational methods
  8. Prepare and present project details/updates when necessary

Experience & Knowledge Required:
  1. Must fill minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirement of V2
  2. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field of study
  3. 1 to 2 years of experience is preferred
  4. Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology is preferred
  5. Certification and experience using Time and Motion Study methods (MOST, Time Studies, etc.) is preferred
  6. Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visual Basic, SQL, Word and Visio.
  7. Clarifies and resolves complex business issues by breaking them down into meaningful components to determine root cause and redesigning internal and external business processes.
  8. Writes, speaks, and presents clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and adjusts communication style to the audience by translating and articulating technical concepts to non-technical groups.
  9. Demonstrates originality and imagination in thinking while developing a solution to a problem.
