Job summary

A leading shipbuilding company in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Project Engineer to support Manufacturing Engineering for naval programs. The ideal candidate will lead project tasks, manage risks, and work collaboratively with teams. A degree in Engineering and 4-6 years of relevant experience are required. Strong relationship management and project coordination skills are essential. This position necessitates full-time, in-office presence.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Engineering, or equivalent.
  • P. Eng or CET preferred; PMP and Lean Six Sigma certifications are assets.
  • 4-6 years in Project Management or Engineering on large, complex defense or manufacturing projects.
  • Familiarity with project controls, performance management, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple organizations is an asset.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
