Job summary

Sofina Foods is seeking a Boiler Operator to join our Port Coquitlam plant. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for the operation of a high‑pressure boiler, plus maintenance of plant mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable production.

Ideal candidates hold a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket, have at least two years in a food processing setting, and can work the Sunday-Thursday 11 pm–7:30 am shift with opportunities for overtime. English communication required.

Qualifications

• 4th Class Power Engineering ticket is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a food processing setting.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler for a high‑pressure boiler.
• Maintain all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary.

What is the Job About?

• Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you would be responsible for boiler operation of a high-pressure boiler.
• You will be responsible for maintaining all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant.
• And performing daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary.

What You’ll Bring:

• You have a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket.
• You have at least two (2) years' experience of performing repairs in a food processing plant.
• You are knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• You are able to use power and manual tools.
• Having a Provincial Millwright Journeyman certificate or a recognized inter-provincial equivalent is an asset.
• You can read, write and communicate in English.
• You can provide documentation to prove eligibility to work in Canada.
