Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Calgary, AB is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to complete diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision.

The role supports our Distribution business in Calgary and requires maintaining detailed records, adhering to health and safety policies, and developing knowledge of Cummins products. The candidate will perform engine repairs, use diagnostic tools, and maintain their own tools while continuing professional

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician preferred.
• Valid local driving permit preferred.
• Five-year motor vehicle report free from major violations.

Job Summary:

Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision.

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Calgary, AB).

Will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop


• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools


• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles


• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies


• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products


• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs


• Performs engine overhauls unassisted


• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components


• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

good communication and work order descriptions

This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
