Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic Local 14x14 to join our Distribution business in Fort McMurray, AB.

The role involves diagnosing and completing less complex engine repairs at the customer site, performing maintenance using diagnostic tools, and maintaining detailed service records. The successful candidate will have basic field service experience, knowledge of engines, and a valid driver’s license, with opportunities for ongoing certifications and career

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic Local 14x14 to join our Distribution business in (Fort McMurray, AB).

Local 14x14

Will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop




• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools




• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles




• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies




• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products




• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs




• Performs engine overhauls unassisted




• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components




• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

This is a days and nights 14x14 Field Service position

Must pass D&A testing

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Customer service experience
