Job summary

Access Industrial is seeking an Engine and Components Technician to maintain and repair engines and mechanical parts in a hands-on role. You will diagnose defects, replace worn components, and test equipment to ensure proper operation after service.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant maintenance experience, a vocational diploma in mobile equipment mechanics, and familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and basic computer systems. Strong teamwork and adherence to safety are required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems is an asset.
• Basic computer skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, maintenance, servicing, and rebuilding of engines and mechanical components.
• Diagnose mechanical defects and determine maintenance or corrective actions.
• Replace, adjust, or repair faulty or worn components.
• Test and inspect equipment to ensure proper operation after maintenance or repairs.
• Plan and carry out scheduled and preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
• Support and assist other mechanics when required.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Complete maintenance reports, work orders, and other required documentation.
• Contribute to a safe, professional, and collaborative work environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

YOU ARE THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR IF:

• You hold a Vocational Diploma or Certificate in mobile equipment mechanic fields or equivalent practical experience;




• You have two (2) to (5) years of relevant experience;




• You have relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills;




• You possess string knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and basic computer systems is considered an asset.
