Job summary

BDO, Edmonton, is seeking a Manager to join the Assurance team. You will lead client engagements, develop staff, and deliver high-quality service across a diverse Alberta client base, including private and not-for-profit organizations.

Ideal candidates have a CPA designation, 4+ years of public accounting experience with assurance, and at least 1 year in a supervisory role. You will mentor juniors and contribute to business development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
• 4+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on assurance engagements.
• 1+ years of supervision or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and/or ASNPO.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute assurance engagements for private and not-for-profit clients.
• Review financial statements and working papers for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve accounting and audit issues with professional judgment.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a key engagement contact.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities with existing clients.
