Job summary

MaintainX is looking for an Engagement Manager in Canada to partner with the sales team and facilitate client onboarding. The role includes leading the transition from sales to implementation and ensuring a positive experience throughout the process.

Success will be measured by client understanding and confidence during onboarding. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in professional services, excellent communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in professional services or client-facing roles in SaaS or technology.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 principles in maintenance engineering or digital transformation.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial technology environments.

Job description

• The Engagement Manager partners with the sales team during the presales process to represent MaintainX’s professional services organization and explain our client onboarding methodology. They participate in customer discovery sessions to understand business needs and use that knowledge to propose clear, achievable implementation plans that demonstrate MaintainX’s structured approach to success
• Once a customer commits to moving forward, the Engagement Manager leads the transition from sales to implementation — ensuring that all stakeholders understand project scope, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables. They serve as a trusted advisor and single point of accountability during this critical period, helping clients navigate each step of onboarding with confidence and clarity
• Throughout the engagement, the Engagement Manager monitors delivery progress, facilitates communication between MaintainX teams and the customer, and proactively manages any changes or challenges that may arise. Their focus is on creating a positive, predictable experience that builds trust and positions MaintainX as a long-term strategic partner
• Ultimately, the Engagement Manager’s success is measured by how well clients understand and embrace the onboarding process, how accurately expectations are managed, and how confidently customers move through implementation toward successful adoption

• 7+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, or client-facing implementation roles within SaaS or technology industries
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 principles and their application in maintenance engineering, smart manufacturing, or digital transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and delivery frameworks
• Experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial technology environments
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and relationship-management skills
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical or process concepts clearly and effectively to executive and operational audiences
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (MBA or PMP certification a plus)
• Demonstrated experience managing client expectations and aligning multiple stakeholders
