Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Project Controller to join the Energy & Resources team in Canada. The role focuses on developing and maintaining cost baselines, EVM metrics, forecasts, and change control across EPC projects.

The incumbent will advise project managers, drive cost efficiency, and collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of project controls experience focused on cost control on medium-to-large projects.
• Experience in Energy & Resources projects including mining, power, renewables, industrials or infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and cost management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost baselines from concept to closeout.
• Establish WBS, CBS and control accounts aligned with execution strategies.
• Track commitments, actuals, accruals, and expenditures against budgets.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost forecasts, EAC, ETC analyses and perform trend and variance analysis.
• Prepare executive cost reports and dashboards for leadership.
