VTRAC Consulting Corporation (WBE) is seeking a Market Specialist to support energy-market operations and data-driven decision making. You will drive demand response initiatives, participate in market participation, and translate interval data into actionable improvements for enterprise projects.

The role requires strong Excel skills, familiarity with IESO processes, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years in energy management or power sector.
• Understanding of IESO market, DR participation, and dispatch processes.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and BI tools is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate participation in IESO Capacity Auction, including resource availability, testing, dispatch communications, and settlement validation.
• Manage operational activities for utility, LDC, and DR initiatives.
• Oversee customer enrollment, program readiness, event participation, and post-event reporting.
• Evaluate interval meter, dispatch, and program data to uncover trends and root causes, and recommend improvements.
• Develop and implement operational enhancements based on program results.
• Prepare performance summaries and market-related reports for customers and management.
• Act as primary operational contact for customer concerns related to program participation.
• Maintain accurate program records and support cross-market activities during peak periods.
