Job summary

TC Energy in Canada is seeking a Student Intern to support daily validation, reporting, and analytical activities that back our commercial trading and marketing operations.

You will gain hands-on exposure to natural gas and power markets, data analysis, and risk monitoring while collaborating with experienced professionals in a hybrid work environment. This internship offers mentorship and real-world projects to build energy market and quantitative analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Economics, Business, Commerce, Mathematics or related field.
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027 start.
• Returning to full-time studies after the work term.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for the term.

Responsibilities

• Support daily validation and reporting activities for the commercial trading and marketing organization.
• Monitor and analyze market, trading, and operational data to support business processes.
• Assist with reporting, data management, and analytical activities that support commercial operations.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of recurring reports and business metrics.
• Work with stakeholders to investigate data discrepancies and support resolution activities.
• Develop a working knowledge of natural gas and power market fundamentals, industry terminology, and commercial processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, analytics, and data quality.
