Job summary

The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is hiring a Functional Analyst to support the Enspire platform as part of the REM program. You will partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to implement and enhance market systems, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.

The role emphasizes Agile delivery, requirements gathering, testing, and solution validation throughout the platform lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in agile product teams with user stories, backlog management, sprint planning, and standups.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver and support high-quality solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain apps using JavaScript, Python, Power BI and related technologies.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts for reporting and data analysis.
• Support testing, issue triage, root cause analysis, and solution validation across the Enspire platform.
• Review vendor design documentation for alignment with requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues.
• Maintain code quality via unit tests, code reviews, and documentation.
• Support operational readiness, training, and cutover planning for deployment.
