What's the role?
Our Energy & Industry account managers serve as the primary contact for our customers, embodying our purpose to enhance construction through partnership in productivity, safety, and sustainability. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, with ownership to create a work schedule that suits both your and your customers' needs. Your sales approach will focus on maintaining customer relationships, demonstrating our latest tools on-site, and providing high-level customer consultation.
What does the role involve?
- Building relationships – meeting with customers promptly or being present to seize business opportunities, creating value through long-term, profitable relationships
- Time and Territory Management (TTM) – developing a daily schedule, including presence on job sites and client offices, to optimize client potential and sales productivity by zone territory
- Be a Hilti Champion – possessing the technical knowledge to deliver high-level customer consultations and representing the Hilti brand in the marketplace
- Tracking your progress – using Salesforce to record all interactions related to sales, as reporting is essential in this role
What you need is:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of outside sales experience, preferably in a target-driven environment
- Hands-on attitude – demonstrating tools, using platforms like Salesforce, and collaborating across departments
- Valid driver’s license – with a company car provided
- Excellent time and territory management skills
- Ability to walk on construction sites, climb scaffolding, and lift up to 65 pounds
- Flexible and varied schedule
- Willingness to participate in international travel, including to the United States for initial training; visa requirements are the applicant's responsibility
