Job summary

Precision Drilling invites students to apply for the Energy & Emissions Intern role as part of the 2026 Internship Program. You will gain real-world experience in data analytics within an energy company, collaborating with leadership to deliver meaningful insights.

The internship focuses on data extraction, fuel baselines, hydrogen injection impact, and BI tooling using PowerBi or Grafana. Candidates should be engineering students approaching graduation or recent graduates, with

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Engineering (Software/Mechanical/Electrical).
• Strong data analytics and querying skills.
• Familiar with scripting or small code projects.
• Experience with PowerBi or similar BI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with EverGreen data structure and products.
• Develop tool to extract data from daily drilling reports.
• Develop algorithm to create fuel consumption baselines.
• Develop tool to estimate fuel savings from hydrogen injection and integrate into Snowflake.
• Create user interfaces on PowerBi or Grafana as needed.

The following restrictions apply to all internship candidates:

• Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Wednesday May 6, 2026
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
• By May 4, 2026, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting).
