Job summary

Orennia in Calgary is seeking an Analytics Intern (Fall 2026) to join the Engineering team for 8 or 12 months. The role focuses on building and enhancing analytical solutions and interacting directly with clients.

You'll work with the Analytics team across data sets, develop models, and support market analyses in energy transition sectors, including power, renewables, hydrogen, and storage. Return-to-school after internship is expected.

Qualifications

• Currently a 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Math or Finance.
• Strong analytical ability with statistical methods and optimization concepts.
• Programming, database and software skills (Excel, VBA, Python, SQL) are assets.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to market analysis across energy transition sectors (power, renewables, storage, CCUS, hydrogen, EVs).
• Compile and maintain large datasets for advanced analytical models.
• Develop models using large data sets to provide client insights.
• Collaborate with Analytics to create customized client solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and calls to demonstrate solutions.
