Job summary

ICF is seeking an Associate Director in Energy Analytics based in Toronto or Ottawa with remote flexibility. You will lead energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization studies for US/Canadian utilities and government agencies, shaping market adoption of DER technologies while coordinating across teams.

You will oversee research, build analytical products, and support business development by writing proposals and delivering client-ready outputs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with interest in sustainability, building energy efficiency or renewables.
8+ years of energy industry experience or academic equivalent including consulting, DSM, program design, regulatory support.
Demonstrated experience with project and resource management.

Responsibilities

Lead energy efficiency, electrification, DER and decarbonization studies for utilities/government.
Assist with dispatch strategies and co-optimization of DERs.
Develop market adoption curves for DER technologies.
Assist with developing and designing innovative DER program strategies.
Conduct market research on energy efficiency technologies.
Advanced energy saving calculations and economic analyses for utility programs.
Prepare and present persuasive presentations and reports.
Co-author client deliverables, journals and white papers.
