Job summary

The Rec Room at Cineplex Winnipeg is seeking an energetic Bartender to craft drinks and deliver a memorable guest experience. You will prepare cocktails, pour wine and beer, and engage with guests in a fast-paced, social setting.

You will handle orders, garnishes, payments, and maintain a clean, organized bar. A positive attitude, knowledge of drink recipes, and strong time management are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Completed bartending classes preferred
• Current provincial Smart Serve Certification considered an asset
• Knowledge of drink recipes
• Time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Taking and filling drink orders
• Garnishing and serving drinks
• Collecting payment and operating POS
• Maintaining a clean work area by cleaning up after guests, removing empty bottles and trash, replacing empty beer kegs and washing glasses and utensils
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory by keeping track of wines, beers, liquors, and ordering bar supplies when required, and stocking the bar from storeroom to bar
• Maintaining a safe environment by checking guests' IDs, refusing service when needed, and arranging safe rides home if necessary
