The ideal candidate holds a social work credential (BSW/BSIW or equivalent) with related experience, is mature, committed to families, and willing to participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• BSW or BSW/ certificate in social work with three years of related child and family services agency experience.
• Maturity and stability; leads a healthy lifestyle.
• Commitment to working with families.
• Willingness to participate in on-going training.
• Willingness to learn and work with high risk and special needs children.
• Knowledge of Woodland Cree language, culture and PBCN First Nation objectives.
• First Nation ancestry encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Record Check

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement therapeutic activities under supervision.
• Maintain routines of the facility to set consistent standards for families.
• Teach families the value of the program and participate in activities.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and suggest changes.
• Monitor activities, provide feedback through reports and logs.
• Adhere to PBCFSI policies and procedures.
