Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking a Full Time Group Home Worker for Pelican Narrows Group Home 1. The role focuses on providing a safe, nurturing and structured living environment for residents, and supporting daily routines and emotional needs.

You will monitor activities, keep logs, report findings, transport children to appointments, and participate in all operations of the group home while adhering to required checks and community guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or GED 12.
• Certificate of Social Work or equivalent training with /or experience in the Child & Family Services area /or related field.
• Proven Maturity, Stability & Commitment to protecting children.
• Willingness to participate in training & travel when required.
• Willingness to learn & work with high risk & special needs children.
• Willingness to do shift work including weekends & statutory holidays.
• Excellent written, oral communication & public speaking skills.
• Employment will be determined based on a satisfactory police record check.
• Valid driver’s license & access to a vehicle.
• Knowledge of the Cree culture, language, political & social objectives of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
• Persons of First Nation’s Ancestry are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated healthy lifestyle through role modeling
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
