Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking an Indigenous Women In Trades & Technology (WITT) Coordinator at the Prince Albert campus. You will coordinate and deliver WITT programs, connect with students and partners, and drive campus communications.

You’ll build relationships, report on activities, and support girls and women pursuing trades or technology careers. Some travel, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Journeyperson certificate in a recognized trade and/or a recognized technology diploma or degree.
  • Two years’ recent and relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with WITT philosophy and operations.
  • Ability to work with girls and women in structured/non-structured settings.
  • Ability to function as a team member in a changing environment.
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Effective interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Training/experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement WITT programs with the facilitator.
  • Provide instruction in programs as required.
  • Build relationships with students, program heads, instructors, and community partners.
  • Manage campus WITT communications through media relations and social media.
  • Prepare documentation and follow-up reports.
  • Offer guidance to girls and women regarding careers in trades/technology.
