Job summary

SIIT seeks a Program Coordinator to oversee the coordination and administration of quality adult programs for First Nations learners across Saskatchewan. You will manage program development, budgeting, scheduling, and instructor and student recruitment, traveling to assigned sites, and reporting to stakeholders.

You will collaborate with Bands, Tribal Councils and SIIT teams to align programming with community needs, industry standards, and SIIT policies.

Qualifications

• A degree in business administration, management, or a related field with 3–6 years in program coordination/administration.
• Journeyperson certification or substantial work experience in a trade or technician role considered.
• PMP designation or significant project management experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
• Travel across Saskatchewan is required.
• Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training programs with Bands/Tribal Councils and SIIT locations.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate activities to attract First Nations communities.
• Monitor programs, prepare reports, and maintain records for stakeholders.
• Support instructor and student recruitment and orientation.
• Ensure classrooms and resources meet program needs and are kept in good condition.
• Collaborate with Registrar and facilities for calendars, appraisals, and related tasks.
