Targeted Talent seeks an Employment Assistance Service Worker (EAS) to support career development services in Penticton. The EAS will manage client casework, provide consultations, and deliver workshops, while adhering to ethical guidelines. The role requires experience in labor market research and familiarity with First Nations employment barriers, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The Employment Assistance Service Worker (EAS) reports directly to the Executive Director and is part of the program manager’s team. The EAS is responsible for all aspects of career development services, including needs determination, employment consultations, assessments, labour market research, and active case management with a team of professionals employed by OTDC.
Case management involves continuous follow-up with clients to review and revise action plans, as well as conducting appropriate referrals to agencies, employers, and resources. The tracking of client interventions and progress will be done through regular updates on the Accountability and Resource Management System (ARMS), a web-based client database system. The EAS will periodically deliver customized short-term employment-related workshops. The EAS must familiarize, implement, and adhere to all requirements of the Service Level Agreement concerning the protection of clients' personal information.
