Qualifications

• Grade 12 completion required.
• Provincial Alberta Journeyman HD Mechanic certificate required.
• Automotive Service Technician certificate is an asset.
• Industrial Heavy Equipment Technology diploma is an asset.
• Experience or certification in Emergency Vehicle Technician is an asset.
• Two years as a journeyman equipment mechanic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain fire apparatus, ambulances, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and urgent repairs to meet standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computerized systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and departmental policies.
