Interior Health in Nelson, BC, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital. You will provide nursing care to emergency patients, both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes advancing clinical competence, continuous improvement, and collaboration with other health care providers to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Advanced preparation in the ED or a related clinical specialty as required by the position.
• CPR within 3 years; Basic Cardiac Life Support within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to emergency patients, independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with other health care providers to enhance patient and family quality of life.
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence and participates in hospital committees or research as assigned.
