Job summary

Health Match BC is seeking a Physician (FP/ER) to provide Emergency Room coverage at Dawson Creek and District Hospital, a full-service community facility serving about 22,000 ER visits annually.

The role offers fee-for-service pay starting at $350,000+ CAD per year, with MOCAP, REEF, REAP, RCME funding and relocation support. Signing bonus of $20,000 and negotiable hours are available.

Qualifications

• Physician with FP/ER credentials; US licensure accepted; LOCUMS available.
• Full-time ER coverage at Dawson Creek and District Hospital.
• Negotiable hours and potential for additional hospital duties.

Full-time: $350,000+ per annum (Fee for Service) + MOCAP + 23.10% MSP Premium + REEF + $35,798.40 Annual Flat Fee.

$20,000 Signing Bonus + Relocation Allowance of $9,000 - $15,000 (TBD). RCME and REAP funding also available.

We are seeking a Physician (FP/ER) to join our team and provide Emergency Room coverage at Dawson Creek and District Hospital. The Emergency Room sees 22,000+ visits per year and is presently covered by Family Physicians in the community. Come and enjoy our wide blue skies and northern hospitality!

Hours and shifts are negotiable; office and other hospital work also available, if desired.

Dawson Creek And District Hospital Is a Full Service Community Hospital That Provides Service To Dawson Creek And Surrounding Communities. It Has 31 Acute Care Beds And 15 Regional Adult Psychiatric Beds. Services Include

• 24/7 emergency
• ICU
• Medical and surgical in-patient care
• Diagnostics and Medical imaging with CT
• Orthopedic surgery
• General surgery
• Day surgery
• Respiratory therapy
• Diabetic education
• Cancer care

Dawson Creek is known as "Mile Zero", where the world-famous Alaska Highway begins!

The city has a population of approximately 13,000, provides primary service to a population of 20,000 and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region, approximately 70,000.

Compensation

Vacation Leave Negotiable May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 23.10% Retention Flat Fee $35,798 Relocation Funding Available $$9,000 - $15,000 (TBD) Recruitment Incentive $20,000 Other Benefits/Incentives Rural Emergency Enhancement funding available (REEF) for ER coverage along with Medical On Call Availability Program (MOCAP) funding on top of MSP billings for ER coverage. Rural Education Action Plan (REAP) funding available. Rural Continuing Medical Education (RCME) funding available. Relocation funding available: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada; $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.
