Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority in Langenburg is hiring a casual Emergency Medical Technician (EMT/PCP) to join the Ambulance - Land team. The role involves direct pre-hospital care and on-site patient care within the Langenburg Health Care Complex.

You will respond to ambulance calls, assist operations, and support facility staff per HSAA policies. Preference may be given to HSAS members and PCP/EMT-licensed applicants in good standing.

Qualifications

• PCP diploma required.
• EMT/PCP registration with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
• Valid Class 4 driver's license.
• Clean Driver's Abstract.
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct pre-hospital and patient care.
• Assist with operations of the facilities they serve.
• Respond promptly to ambulance calls and emergencies.
• Adhere to Saskatchewan Health Authority mission, policies and procedures.

Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. They assist with the operations of the facilities they serve. The only restriction that has been identified governing their participation in these departments is; No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls. EMTs shall abide by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
